Martins Deal Draws Closer
Birmingham City look set to complete the signing of Rubin Kazan striker Obafemi Martins for the rest of the season sometime today.
Martins came into the country on Sunday, it is thought the player just has to finalise terms with Blues and sign a deal that will be an initial loan with a view to a permanent move.
City will have to acquire a new work permit for the player.
Rubin coach Kurban Berdyev said: 'He has just had a child and he asked to be let go to England, as he wants to go closer to his family.'
