'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Beating Owls Will Install Wembley Confidence

Birmingham striker Cameron Jerome this weekend`s break from league action to play in the FA Cup as a good way if injecting a bit of much needed confidence into the side after being beaten by Newcastle United.

The Magpies put a dampener over St Andrews when they out performed Birmingham on Tuesday night to win the game 2-0, a disappointing result for fans and manager alike.

But getting a result against Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend will boost the squad as they prepare to take on the might of Arsenal at Wembley in the Carling Cup final.

Speaking to the club`s official website, Jerome said: 'We've got a break from the league now with the FA Cup and we've got the big one at Wembley the week after.

'On Saturday hopefully we can put in a good performance and pick up a bit of confidence for the cup final.

'As long as we get this hangover out of our system, sooner rather than later, we can go into the cup final with a smile on our face and to do ourselves proud.'
