'If It's Football, It's Vital'

New Deal For Blues Youngster

Birmingham City youngster Jordon Mutch has put pen to paper on a new three year deal that will keep him at St Andrews until 2014.

The midfielder has been with City since making the move from Derby`s youth Academy, and worked his way up to making his debut last month at Old Trafford.

Last season he went out on-loan to Doncaster and Hereford, but has more recently been on a six month loan stint at Watford.

'I'm delighted to have signed,' Mutch told the Birmingham Mail.

'It has taken a couple of months to sort out but now I'm happy to have a new contract at Birmingham.

'Now I'll just aim to keep on training hard, maybe look to go back out on loan again and get a few more games until the end of season.

'Then hopefully I'll come back for pre-season and try and be in and around the first-team.

'I think this is the right place for me at the moment.

'The team are doing well, we've got a good manager and the board have invested in new players so I think it's the the right place for me.

'Birmingham has become a home to me. I've enjoyed every bit of my time at the club and I just want to keep on improving. Hopefully the next three years will be a good three years for me.'
