Zigic Says Blues Too Good To Go Down.

There is no doubt in the mind of Nikola Zigic that Birmingham will escape the drop into the Championship at the end of the season. He feels that the squad is too good for relegation.

Players saying things like that normally set the alarm bells ringing and they will indeed be ringing very loudly if Alex McLeish`s side doesn`t get something from the six-pointer against Wigan Athletic this weekend.

Blues travel to the DW Stadium knowing that a win would go a long way to easing fears of the drop, thus giving them a much needed boost of confidence for the games ahead.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, the striker said: 'I am totally confident that we will stay up.

'We have great quality here, we're too good to go down, and I certainly don't see that happening.

'It is up to us to get the results that we need to keep us up but with the players that we have here, I can't really see a problem.'
