No Late Comeback For McFadden.

No Late Comeback For McFadden.

City manager Alex McLeish says that there will be no return to the side for James McFadden before the end of the season as his battle to get fit again after a knee injury continues.

McLeish was hoping that the Scot would have been back in time to play some part in Birmingham`s remaining three fixtures, but he is not quite there so it will be the 2011/12 season before they see him again.

'He is not going to make the end of this season. He has missed the whole season virtually after playing in the Liverpool game in August,' McLeish told reporters.

'That is unfortunate for us but more unfortunate for the player because for me he was looking tremendous with his performance against Liverpool.

'But he will be back for the start of next season.'
