Blues Release Bent

Blues striker Marcus Bent has been released by the club after his contract expired.

Bent never really made the grade at St Andrews since joining the club and earlier this season he went out on loan to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Meanwhile, all four of the club's loan signings, Alexander Hleb, Obafemi Martins, David Bentley and Matt Derbyshire have also left St Andrews and returned to their parent clubs.

You should have tried the "Darren" flavour of Bent. Guaranteed to keep you in the Premiership or so they say...
