The Stoke and Ridgewell Rumour

Another rumour that has found its way to the media is that Stoke manager Tony Pulis is set to place a 3million bid on the table for Birmingham defender Liam Ridgewell.

After letting Abdoulaye Faye leave the Britannia Stadium at the end of the season, Stoke are looking for a replacement, Ridgewell is said to meet their needs.

Ridgewell has made 156 appearances for Blues since leaving the rabble across the City, the fee at the time was 2million, the reason he may be suitable for Stoke is because he can play in the centre of defence and at right back, another problem area for the Potters.

And while a lot of the stories around at the moment are just nothing more than rumours, it has to be said that this one might just have some mileage to it as Ridgewell wouldn`t mind a return to the top flight.
