Well I must admit that when all this lot started about McLeish, I did not believe for one minute that Villa would really sign the ginger haired one, but now it`s just a matter of when they make the move official.
I think it`s safe to say that most Blues fans wish Villa and McLeish the same fate that Blues suffered last season for a second time under McLeish. Let`s face it, things were not good. Boring football, no goals, strange formations and starting line ups. But hey, we won a Carling Cup and oh how I would like to shove that where it would hurt McLeish without KY.
Personally, I don`t care that he is going to Villa, but I fall short of finding it funny because these things tend to come back and bite you on the bum, can you imagine if he finished the season with Villa in the dizzy heights of the top half of the table? Villa fans would be dancing in the streets, and telling us how they knew he would come good all along.
I`m more pee`d off at the way he disrespected the club who stuck by him by sending in an email, and yes I know there is the theory that McLeish was forced into going by the club and all this has been twisted to make him look the bad man, but I`m not having that.
My advice to Villa fans, for what it`s worth, would be to stop the protests and get on with giving the man support and that is the same advice that I would be giving Blues fans should the situation have been reversed. My advice to Bluenoses is now forget about McLeish, wash our hands of him and forget he was ever here, until we play Villa again.
And that day would be here sooner rather than later if the right man is appointed to the Blues hot seat. Personally I prefer that man to be Chris Hughton who I believe would be a man in his element if he came to St Andrews and that can only lead to him performing his best with our great support behind him.
That`s it, I won`t mention him again
