Gardner Almost A Black Cat

Sunderland are set to sign Birmingham`s Craig Gardner in a deal that would bring 5million into the club to help new manager Chris Hughton make a few signings.

Gardner has been the subject of transfer speculation since Blues were relegated into the Championship at the end of last season, but it seems that it`s Sunderland who have had their bid accepted.

The 24-year-old will go to Sunderland upon his return from Holiday to finalise terms and take the all important medical.

Gardner scored ten times last season and Steve Bruce is hoping that he can reproduce that and better for the Black Cats.

Not showing that much ambition if Sunderland is the best that he can do

Very annoyed to say the least. Not that he is our best player or that he is fantastically skilled, but because he is a liar. If this is true and he leaves then it's like doing a Robbie Savage all those years ago. But to come out and say that he is a life long Blues fan and joining the Blues was realising his dream is just plain wrong. As if he cares about a little bit more money to play for an average Prem team, when if he stayed and helped us back up he could have been a Blues LEGEND. He was by far my favourite player last season but this just shows there is NO loyalty in football anymore. It's all about money and status. You owe us for that dive Craig, you had the fans behind you the whole time and when we were standing in the stands at Spurs on D-Day singing Craigy Gardner is a blue it clearly meant nothing. As a REAL Bluenose, if i had the chance to play for Birmingham, i'd join and never leave. Liar.

That really is a stab in the back. For a so called bluenose to jump ship when you need him most??? Shocking. I should be smug as a Villa fan but it boils down to loyalty in football... there is none! If I was a Villa player and they ended up in league 2 I would still wear the claret and blues!!!!!
