Caldwell Set To Join Blues

Former Wigan defender Steven Caldwell is likely to become the latest signing by Birmingham City.

The Scotland international has held talks with the club after being released by the Latics and the 30 year old would command no fee.

Caldwell began his career and moved on to achieve promotion with Sunderland and Burnley before moving to Wigan where he joined his brother Gary.

But after making just 15 appearances last season and was not offered a new contract at the DW Stadium.
