Portugal Trip For Blues In Europa League

Birmingham have been drawn against Nacional in the Europa League play-off draw.

The Portugeuse outfit finished sixth in the Primiera Liga last season, they will prove to be a big test for Birmingham who have suffered all sorts of problems in the summer following relegation from the Premier League.

Dont see us getting very far in this competition which is a shame as I was looking forward to it last season

Blues players will be happy with this one, a trip to Maderia in mid August and so will those lucky 180 fans that get a ticket! 18th August is the away leg than back to St Andrews on the 25th, can't wait for the atmosphere at that one! They finished 6th in their league alst year and have got through the previous 2 rounds of this tournament. I dont know much else about this team really, don't think they have any star players.

not many will be going on a European tour since Nacional can only hold 5,000. Also getting out to Madeira and finding accommodation might not be vey easy at short notice. I'm pleased we are away first, since I will be back for the second leg. Assuming I can get a ticket for that.

Prankster. Why are you concerned about getting a ticket? Is there a stadium redevelopment going on?

I hope you get through to the latter stages - will be funny to watch your threadbare squad tackle a physical champioship while taking on loads of extra games. League One I can hear you calling
