Arsenal Interested in Defender Scott Dann

Arsenal have opened preliminary talks with Birmingham with a view to taking defender Scott Dann to the Emirates Stadium.

There has been talk of Dann leaving St Andrews since the end of last season and although clubs have been interested and made offers, he remains at Birmingham City.

Now Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is going to have a go at acquiring the player`s services as he is keen to strengthen his defence.

A host of Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Stoke have all been linked with the player during the summer.

And funds should be available to Wenger who is about to lose Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona in the next day or so.

I doubt this move will come about either, Blues seem to be holding out for as much as they can get.

Wish it would get sorted out one way or another but this will probably go on until the last day of the transfer window
