Butland Off For A Spell At Cheltenham

Butland Off For A Spell At Cheltenham

Young Birmingham player Jack Butland has made an initial one-month loan switch to Cheltenham to further his development.

The 18 year old highly thought of goalkeeper, made a successful debut for England's Under-21 side in their 6-0 romp over Azerbaijan last Thursday.

Butland is yet to make a first-team appearance for City, but he does stand a very good chance of picking up the matchday experience at Whaddon Road, under the guidance of former Blues midfielder Mark Yates who now manages the Robins.
