Blues Win Too Much For McClaren

Birmingham City may have come from a goal down to take all three points from Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, but arguably, they were the real winners.

Long suffering Forest fans saw the back of Steve McClaren just after the game when he threw in the towel and walked out on the club.

Six defeats in ten games was just too much for McClaren and it makes you wonder just what respect he had from the players, certainly something was wrong at the club and it just took City to come along and add that last straw to the camel`s back.

McClaren had only been at the City Ground since June.

An official statement from Forest read: "Nottingham Forest can confirm that Steve McClaren has resigned from his role as manager.

"He has left the club without compensation - nor will he be seeking any. The club can confirm that the search for a new manager will begin immediately."
