'If It's Football, It's Vital'

West Brom's Wood Eyes Blues Stay.

West Brom striker Chris Wood is enjoying his time with Birmingham City, so much so that he would like to extend his loan now his current deal has expired.

The 19 year old was on a deal that ended on Monday, but instead of returning to West Brom, he says that he wouldn`t mind staying at St Andrews where he is fast becoming a crowd favourite.

He has netted seven times for Blues and that includes the two strikes he put away in the 3-1 win over Forest last time out.

The Baggies` coaching staff are well aware of the New Zealander`s current form, but it is believed that they would be willing to let the player stay with Birmingham to get some first team experience under his belt.

Something he may not get in the Premier League just yet.

'I would love to be here for longer,' said Wood.

'But it's down to the two clubs now for them to decide what's best for them and what's best for my future."
