Carter Takes His Trial From Blues To Brighton

Darren Carter has spent the last two months training with Blues and trying to impress manager Chris Hughton, but today he finds himself on trial at Brighton.

Carter has been looking for a club since being released by Preston North End at the end of last season, he was keen to impress Hughton with a view to a deal, but things are not looking good for the former trainee.

Carter has now joined up with Gus Poyet`s squad on a two-week trial in the hope of securing a deal.

The 27-year-old posted on his Twitter account yesterday: "Down in Brighton tweeps training till friday. No decision reached regarding Blues, just accepting every opportunity I`m given at the moment."

A decent tryer who will live in our memories after scoring THAT penalty. Good luck wherever you end up Darren.
