Fair Result Against Brighton Says Hughton.
Birmingham manager Chris Hughton was disappointed that his side failed to break Brighton down and had to settle for one point instead of three.
Blues started the game knowing that they could make it seven wins on the trot, but a resilient Brighton defence had other ideas as they set their stall out to gain a moral boosting clean sheet.
But while Blues did not manage to keep up their record, Brighton made it 4 points from a possible 24.
Hughton said: 'We are on a good run at the moment but I think it was a fair result.
'We had a good opportunity early on through Marlon King and had that gone in it would have changed the game.
'There is no argument with the workload he is putting in for the team but these are the minimal chances strikers get in a game that they need to put away.
'But Brighton are a good team. They have been together for a while and have a style of play which suits them.
'Probably in the areas where we needed to show more quality and composure in the final third we failed to produce the finish and hence a draw was a fair result.
'We didn't have enough to go on and win the game.'
