Vital Blues was asked a series of questions by Vital Sunderland, and in return, they've answered the following for us. So how does a Black Cat's fan see the forthcoming clash between the two relegated teams?

What players should we look out for from your side? What are your strengths?

We've lost Arca, but we still have many strengths. Dean Whitehead and Liam Lawrence will be two of the best midfielders in the division, and Stephen Elliot has proved that he can score regularly in this league. Despite the stick he got last year, Jon Stead will be capable of being an influential part of the team this season.

What Birmingham players will you be watching out for? Our strengths?

I guess it's the obvious big names, Jerome and Forssel, as great strikeforce for this division. However, you have chopped and changed a lot, and that is always a risk, look at what that did to us when we got promoted.

Where do you expect to finish this season?

Top six. With a few quality additions however, (say the return of Phillips), we could well challenge the top two places. You only have to look at our previous responses to relegations to see that no one should write us off, we've been there and done it many a time!

Where do you think we will finish this season?

Also top six, however i don't think it will be a Championship walkover like everyone seems to be predicting. True, you have signed some quality players and retained some important ones too, but unlike us and West Brom you guys haven't been relegated for a while and the drop may come as a bit of a shock for a while. Once the team has overcome the change in play and style, the class of your players will show.
