'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Murphy Eyes a Turnaround.

Birmingham defender David Murphy hopes that things will make a turn for the better at Birmingham after finding the net to earn Blues a point on Boxing Day.

The draw was a valuable point for City against a side steaming towards promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

In their last six games, Blues have won just once but Murphy feels that better things are just around the corner after making a superb comeback against the Hammers.

He told the club'sofficial website: 'I think we deserved to get something out of the game based on our performance.

'It was nice to score but what was even more pleasing was our second-half performance and we could have even gone on and won it.

'Hopefully our bad spell is out the way with and we can move on to Blackpool and look for a victory.'
