Foster Urges Baggies To Sign Ridgewell

Ben Foster says that West Brom couldn`t make a better move than to sign Liam Ridgewell from Birmingham City while they have the chance.

They have tried, it`s believed that Blues have turned down two offers for the defender with the last on coming in last week.

Tuesday is looming fast, but the Baggies are still in talks with Blues and maybe a deal can still be done.

"Liam would be a fantastic signing," said Foster to the Birmingham Mail.

"I read an interview from the gaffer (Roy Hodgson) saying that Liam is 'interesting` because he can fill two positions.

"That`s exactly right, Liam played left back for the majority of the season and filled in at centre-half.

"He`s a great player, I get on well with him and he`s someone I`ve kept in touch with since leaving at the end of last season."
