Mixed Day for Townsend

Andros Townsend made his Birmingham debut after joining the club on loan from Tottenham on Sunday and he admitted that it had it`s up and down moments.

The 20 year old winger was over the moon to get his debut for Blues giving him some much needed first team experience.

But he was disappointed with the result and the fact he was in the team that lost their first home game of the season to Forest admits defeat tarnished his Birmingham debut following his loan move from Tottenham.

'It was good to get my debut but the result wasn't the best and it was disappointing we lost at home and also lost the unbeaten run that the lads had put together in the last 15 games,' he told the club's official website.

'I didn't really make as big an impact as I would have liked, but I still got a few crosses in the box and that's my game. Hopefully, I can just build on a steady performance.'
