Hughton Lines Up Approach For De Laet

It`s being reported that Birmingham City boss Chris Hughton is thinking of trying to lure Manchester United defender Ritchie De Laet to St Andrews on a loan deal.

De Laet recently returned to Old Trafford after a loan spell at Norwich City came to a premature end due to an injury.

The player should have been with Norwich for a full season, but that deal had to be cut short, he returned to Old Trafford after making just three appearances.

City could do with a player like De Laet to provide cover for injury plagued Stephen Carr.
