Caldwell Blow

Caldwell Blow

Birmingham have suffered a huge blow with the news that Steven Caldwell will play no further part this season due to injury.

The centre back picked up a groin injury in the game against Ipswich on Tuesday.

Caldwell has been a major part of Blues assault on promotion this season, he has been a more than capable stand in skipper for Stephen Carr who has also been sidelined.

The injury setback is the latest to hit Blues' hopes of promotion, with first-choice goalkeeper Boaz Myhill as well as midfielders Guirane N'Daw, Keith Fahey and Jordon Mutch recently sidelined.
