Hughton Delighted With Play-Off Place

Birmingham boss Chis Hughton is delighted that his side made sure of a play-off place with a 1-1 draw at Brighton at the weekend.

That draw could so easily have been a win, and it looked on the cards when Nathan Redmond fired home after 69 minutes.

But six minutes from the end Ashley Barnes levelled the score and Blues had to settle for a point.

But a point was enough.

Hughton told reporters: 'I am delighted for this group of players. I've had great support and I am happy for all of them.

'It was a tough summer but it doesn't matter as long as we are in the play-offs. Getting there is the main thing, although a second leg at home would be nice.'
