Baggies Face A Fight For Hughton

Birmingham have said that they will fight tooth and nail to keep manager Chris Hughton at the club this summer.

Hughton is being linked with the West Brom manager`s job, he has become the favourite to take over from Roy Hodgson who went on to take charge of the national side.

But the Baggies have been warned to expect a tough fight from Birmingham after he has impressed in his first year in charge, narrowly missing out on the play-offs despite having his hands tied financially.

Hughton was a free agent after being sacked by Newcastle last summer and was interviewed for the West Brom job before being overlooked for Hodgson.

A source close to Blues said: 'Chris is very highly rated at Birmingham and has done a great job since taking over.

'Blues are planning for next season, want Chris to be part of those plans, and any approach would not be welcome.'

what do you fans want, him to stay or not bothered? Seems to have done a good job but was it good enough to have missed out on promotion?

Well I want him to stay here, good chance he could get us up, probably the best chance we have would be with him in charge
