'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No Comment Yet From Blues On Butland Situation.

There have been reports that Southampton had made a £6million bid for promising teenage keeper Jack Butland. City are remaining tight lipped.

Butland has been linked with Southampton for some time, but then City were given a chance to up their valuation of the player after he was picked to go to the Euro 2012 competition as part of the England squad.

It`s a lot of cash to offer for a player who has yet to make the first team, but reports from Cheltenham where Butland has been on loan are that the boy is golden.

If Blues had anything about them they would indeed turn down the bid as twelve months down the line he could well be worth twice that amount if he was to make the club`s first team on a regular basis.

Newly installed Birmingham manager Lee Clark has already said that Butland will remain at the club unless a 'crazy offer` was placed on the table.

I would say hang onto him, Foster is on his way to west brom and we need to keep a decent keeper. Let southampton keep offering silly money though
