Butland Not Ready To Challenge For Number One Spot
Birmingham and Great Britain goalkeeper Jack Butland has admitted he not even close to challenging Joe Hart for his place in the England side.
There is a squad being named on Thursday for England's August 15th clash with Italy and Butland hopes that he can keep his place in that squad as England's third choice keeper after a good showing for Team GB in the Olympics.
Many say that Birmingham and Butland will be parting company before too very long as he seeks to take his international career a step further.
Before the game with South Korea, Butland told the press: 'I enjoyed being part of the England set-up because I gained so much experience and hopefully that will continue.
'But I am still only 19 and I need to play games before I can ever think about testing Joe because he is one of the best keepers in the world at present.
'All I want to do at the moment is enjoy this Olympic experience and see where it takes me.'
