Watford Too Much For Birmingham City

Birmingham City are still looking for their first win of the season after going down 2-0 at Watford on Saturday.

The hosts got off to a perfect start to the game when they went in front after just three minutes. They had some help from Steve Caldwell who shoved Matej Vydra inside the area and the referee pointed to the spot.
Almen Abdi converted the kick easily.

Blues were given no time to settle into the game and were two behind after 20 minutes, this time Vydra came up with a neat finish after beating the offside trap.

Mark Yeates tried his luck but Jack Butland was up to the job of stopping him and then Vydra saw a header fly just wide of the upright.

The two sides traded chances in the second half, with Abdi and Sean Murray having sights of goal for the home side while Nikola Zigic provided a rare highlight for Birmingham.

But neither side could add to the scoreline and Birmingham sit in the relegation zone early doors.
