Papa Bouba Diop Awaits Clearance

Papa Bouba Diop Awaits Clearance

Birmingham City are set to sign midfielder Papa Bouba Diop on a short-term contract after they agreed a deal with the player.

A deal has been made and the medical has been passed, but the one month loan deal cannot be completed on the 34 year old until they receive the go ahead on a visa application.

Diop was with West Ham last season and played a part in getting them promoted to the Premier League so he has invaluable experience to pass onto the current members of the Blues squad.

He also won the FA Cup with Portsmouth in 2008 and he is said to have highly impressed Blues boss Lee Clark while on trial at the club.

Experienced? I should think he is because he must be getting on towards 50.
