Fahey Goes Back To Ireland On Compassionate Leave

Birmingham have revealed that Republic of Ireland midfielder Keith Fahey has been granted an indefinite period of compassionate leave.

The 29-year-old withdrew from the Republic's game with Greece on Wednesday night; Blues confirmed that he had made the trip to Ireland on their Twitter feed.

'Lee Clark has confirmed that Blues midfielder Keith Fahey has returned to Ireland for the time being on indefinite compassionate leave,' said the club.
