Blues Welcome Middlesbrough To St Andrews

Birmingham welcome Middlesbrough to St Andrews on Friday night and the news is mixed about Hayden Mullins and Rob Hall.

Mullins had to come off late in the game against Blackpool on Tuesday with what appeared to be a groin problem, but after it was looked at it turns out not to be as bad as first feared for the midfielder.

On-loan winger Hall missed the game due to an illness picked up just 24 hours before the game, the player is recovering but he does have a doubt cast over him making an appearance. But if he is fit then he will play some part.

Captain Steven Caldwell will be hoping to get his place back in the side after he found himself dropped for the Blackpool clash, spending the game on the sub's bench.

A decision must also be made about right-back Paul Caddis as to whether he is ready for two games in four days after such a long lay-off with a shoulder injury.

Full-backs David Murphy and Stephen Carr both remain on the sidelines with knee injuries while striker Akwasi Asante remains sidelined for the immediate future with a hamstring problem.
