Pannu Backs Clark

Lee Clark has been given the vote of confidence by acting chairman Peter Pannu.

Pannu has been impressed with the way that Clark has handled things since he took over from Chris Hughton when he left for a new challenge at Norwich.

But there are fans that say that Clark has disappointed so far, but Pannu backs his man.

He told the Birmingham Mail: "He is my appointment; he is a young and hungry manager.

"People might say that we didn`t have the money to hire a manager so we took someone from League One - that is absolutely wrong.

"We met other managers who have got Premier League experience and it was after deliberations that we decided Lee was the proper person for us.'
