'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Poyet Went Home Frustrated

Brighton manager Gus Poyet saw his side go from three points to one late on in Saturday's game with Birmingham City and admitted after that he felt frustrated.

Blues were looking to win this game to complete the double over the Seagulls after beating them at the Amex earlier in the season.

Steven Caldwell put the home side in front after just 17 minutes, but a goal from Ashley Barnes and a scorcher from David Lopez before half time made it seem like Brighton had extracted revenge on their hosts.

But with time fast running out, Nikola Zigic popped up once again with one of his late goals that salvaged a point.

Poyet told Sky Sports: 'The best thing that occurred early on was to concede a goal. We were sloppy and not playing at the tempo I like.

'After that goal we were a good team to watch and we created problems until the 92nd minute when Birmingham equalised. The last four minutes contained the mistake by my goalkeeper and a brilliant save from Butland.

'It was really sad to see Tomasz Kuszczak make one mistake. It was terrible. Let us hope it is a one-off. He is devastated. I know Tomasz from last year and he has not made one mistake.'
