Last Gasp Points For Blues At Burnley.

Birmingham City grabbed a valuable three points at Turf Moor on Saturday thanks to a last gasp goal from top striker Marlon King.

It was a victory that Blues have been looking to get for a while and they came good at Burnley after getting off to a dodgy start which saw the home team have much the better of things.

Danny Ings went close with two early headers that came about after good work from Ross Wallace.

But it was as the home side were enjoying the majority of the ball that City took the lead against the run of play, Curtis Davies was the man who found the net with a header from a 21st minute corner.

Grant McCann saw an effort saved by Jack Butland and that was about it for action in the first half with Blues going in a goal up.

If anything, the home side started better in the second half than they did in the first and Blues had Butland to thank for keeping them in front when he saved a Header from Sam Vokes.

Then Paul Robinson committed a foul on Stanislas and Wallace fired Burnley level from the spot.

Robinson was involved in another incident with ten minutes left on the clock, this time he was the victim of a late tackle from Dean Marney who was sent for an early bath.

With the clock ticking down, Nikola Zigic headed against the post but in the last minutes, King was allowed to dispatch the ball into the net from ten yards out to give Blues the points.
