Burke Is Happy to Remain a Blue.

Burke Is Happy to Remain a Blue.

Chris Burke remained a Birmingham City player after all the hype on deadline day and he is very happy about it.

It looked at times like Burke was going to be a new face at the City Ground in Nottingham towards the end of last week, but both Nottingham Forest and Leeds United failed to tempt the Blues board with their offers for the winger.

And Burke showed his contentment to be staying where he is by scoring both goals in a 2-0 win over the side that wanted him.

Burke told Sky Sports after the game: 'I've always said I love it at Blues and I want to stay here.

'If you start listening to speculation then maybe that can affect you.'

Looks like he had a lucky escape by not going to forest although I wonder if big eck would have jacked it in if he'd have got Burke?
