Clark Unimpressed With Zigic

Lee Clark has let it be known that he is far from happy with the attitude of Nikola Zigic after the player put in a shameful showing during training.

Saturday's game against Watford will see Blues line up without Zigic in the squad after the boss dropped him.

Zigic displayed a couldn't be bothered attitude at Wast Hills as Clark put them through their paces ahead of the Watford clash and the Birmingham boss was disgusted by his lack of effort.

In the pre-match conference with reporters, Clark said that he believed that the fans should not why one of their heroes has been dropped from the squad.

In a remarkable, brutal and unprompted outburst by Clark in this morning's pre-match media conference, he said he had a duty to fans to let them know why Zigic would not figure.

When asked a question about Marlon King, he replied: 'Well, Marlon King is injured and Nikola Zigic won't be involved.'

Then he added: 'I witnessed possibly the worst training session in terms of a professional footballer I have ever come across on Thursday.

'We did our preparation work for Watford, and he was in the team.

'And I was disgusted when I walked off.

'I need to tell the fans before the game because obviously the social media network will go into overload because of this.

'I know he's quite popular.'
