'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Clark Pleased After Landing Ferguson.

Blues boss Lee Clark is tipping new boy says Shane Ferguson to quickly establish himself as a crowd favourite.

The Northern Ireland international signed on a months loan deal on Thursday from Newcastle United and he is expected to play some part in the game against Hull City on Saturday.

21 year old Ferguson comes to St Andrews just after Rob Hall made his way back to West Ham for treatment on a groin injury.

Clark told the clubs official website: 'We`ve hit lucky with Shane. He's a player I've tried to bring in since I came through the door. I must have asked on five or six occasions about his availability but Newcastle were never open to the idea as they had such a small squad and he was important to them. What has helped us are the acquisitions that Newcastle made in January.'
