'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Danns Confident Of Cup Progress

Neil Danns has said that Blues must look at the League Cup as a way into Europe and do their best in it.

'It's a chance to get into Europe. Some of the Premiership teams play weakened sides in the competition, so you never know.

'You've seen the likes of Millwall getting into Europe from the cups.

'We will want it tonight just as much as we wanted to beat Ipswich on Saturday.

'It will be like a cup final for them and they will probably bring loads of fans. We will have to silence them early on and not get too confident.

'If we don't become too complacent I am sure we can get into the next round.

'Ipswich came on the back of three wins and you can never underestimate a team like that.

'To go 2-1 down and have a man sent-off is never easy but it was a testament to the boys that we kept going and took a point.

'We are joint top of the Championship. It's not all doom and gloom.

'I've never played in so many places, but as long as I'm involved, I will play wherever the gaffer asks me. I have just got to keep putting on performances to stay in the team.'
