Asante Is Very Determined

Striker Akwasi Asante has signed a new deal with Birmingham City and is now more determined than ever to make his mark in the first team next season.

The 20 year old has put pen to paper on a twelve month deal which carries with it a twelve month option. Last season he managed to do well late on while on loan at Shrewsbury although he missed five months of the season at Blues with a hamstring injury.

The youngster no doubt has the capability to do well, he scored one goal from just three starts with Shrewsbury, and he also did similar at Northampton and has had no great problem scoring in Blues reserve side.

'I'm very happy, I'm delighted to have signed my contract, it's going to be my seventh year and I'm really looking forward to next season because it's a big season ahead,' he told Blues Player.
