Darren Randolph: I Joined Because Of Lee Clark

Randolph has put on record his excitement about this coming season with Birmingham and has revealed that he did some research before deciding to make the transfer.

The keeper has some old friends at Huddersfield who all told him how Lee Clark operates and Randolph said he likes what he heard. Having only met the manager to sort out the deal the player admits he is eager to get to know the manager after they discussed Clark's vision for the club.

Clark is turning out to be a real players manager, someone who is part of the team and we have seen that he is also not afraid to lead following the Zigic fall out.

With finances tighter than ever, having players joining for non-financial reasons should really give Birmingham fans something to smile about. The club seems to be in caring hands at playing level, which really can only adhere it to a buyer.

Birmingham are reportedly the interest of a buyer and it does look likely that the club will be sold this summer.
