Birmingham Reward Reilly

Birmingham Reward Reilly

The 19 year old is a Republic of Ireland U21 international and started at Blues as a trainee and has lived in Birmingham since the age of 7.

Reilly recently told the Birmingham Mail that he feels this year will be massive for him, whilst back in June the young gun spoke of needing to work hard and keep pushing for first team action.

Birmingham originally only had a year option on the boy but have decided to offer him a whole new deal, this is clearly an indication that he has a part to play in the team next year and not just fulfill a squad role.

Players like Reilly have provided inspiration to other academy hopefuls such as Ryan Higgins and whilst we know a squad should rarely be full of youngsters, there is nothing wrong with a squad being developed into a home-grown group.

Reilly currently has 19 league appearances for Birmingham.

How do you rate Callum? are you pleased he is set to stay for the next two years? Leave your responses below!
