Hancox: I Know What I'm Up Against

Now Mitch Hancox has signed a 3 year deal the player says he wants to become Birmingham's first choice left back and stay there.

"It`s my aim to play regularly and hold down that position" he told the Mail.

The 19 year old did however acknowledge that he has a huge task to achieve his goal as David Murphy is no small time player.

"The boss has said plenty of times that he reckons Dave is the best left-back in the division and I`d have to agree.'

With David Murphy's injury proneness Hancox may well get a good shout as he develops into a stronger player, I am a big admirer of Murphy and if he stays fit I'd think Mitch Hancox may have to saddle up for the long haul.

Hancox has recently told how the older players share valuable knowledge with the younger players and he seems very keep to learn, a promising prospect possibly.
