'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bad News For Blues And Eardley.

Birmingham City defender Neal Eardley is out of action for the rest of the season the club has announced today.

The defender picked up a knee injury in the draw with Ipswich at the weekend and scans have revealed a rupture of the medial ligament and a partial tear to the cruciate ligament.

This means that the player will have to go under the surgeon's knife which means the man who only joined the club in the summer will now be sidelined.

The news does explain why Paul Caddis was signed on deadline day even though the club are supposed to be cash strapped.
