'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Clark Looking For Play-Off Surge.

Birmingham boss Lee Clark is now looking at his side getting into the play-offs after their latest win over Bournemouth at the Goldsands Stadium.

Clark is confident that with a bit of hard work his side can catch the clubs that are currently hanging around the play off spots in the second tier.

The win over Bournemouth, although it had an element of luck about it, means that Blues are unbeaten in six games and have won the last three on the road.

Other good news was that Shinnie, who signed from Inverness in the summer, was on the mark for the first time since he signed for Blues when he got on the end of a Lee cross and swept the ball past Camp in the home side's goal.

Then Zigic was back amongst the goals when he doubled the lead on 33 minutes after good work from Lee and Lingard.

Clark was impressed with what he saw and wants to keep things going.

He told reporters: 'We are well aware of what is going on below us, we are not oblivious to that, but we do want to look at what is going on above us and try and crawl that deficit back.

'I knew all along when we had a few indifferent results at the start, and we had one or two blips along the way with not good enough performances, that the lads had given me everything."

Blues now sit in 15th place on 23 points, 11 behind Leeds United who occupy 6th place.
