'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Burke: We Need a Bit of Luck

Birmingham City Footballer Chris Burke has urged his team to win their home games to keep their impressive unbeaten run alive. The technical winger was talking to the Birmingham Mail.

Limping

"It`s a bit disappointing we didn`t win against Barnsley, You would like to be picking up more victories at home especially."

Many fans shared this view after the last game, it is quite odd that Birmingham`s form is a result of away results and not the other way around. So many times in football you hear everyone talk about the home ground being so important.

And with that said, how long can Birmingham sustain this level of form if they cannot switch to the more 'winnable` home games.

Unbeatable

Burke went on to talk about the impressiveness of the ten games unbeaten.

"Not many teams will be saying that this season."

Crazy Championship

So what does the winger make of the Championship this year?

"This league is just mental, if I`m honest,"

He has a point too, Birmingham sit 17th. Seven points from 6th and eight points from the relegation positions.

Its a Matter of Time

He also thinks it`s a matter of time before Blues turn those disappointing draws into wicked wins.

"If you see how strongly we are finishing games as well, I really feel with a bit of luck we will get a goal here or there and we will turn these points into three points."

I don't think we need a bit of luck, we need to learn to apply ourselves throughout the second half! this is not happening and we let goals slip
