Birmingham City to be Handed Burn Boost

Dan Burn is to return to Birmingham City next week to rejoin on loan until the end of the season Vital Birmingham can confirm.

Burn has made 28 appearances for Birmingham and Lee Clark will be desperate to have him back. Recent disappointments regarding Jesse Lingard and Aaron McLean will be made easier knowing the problem at centre back could be over.

Fulham recalled Dan Burn so their new manager Rene Meulensteen could evaluate him. Fulham now feel Burn would benefit most by playing as many games as possible and that is to be with Birmingham.

Meulensteen told GetWestLondon " There's some good guys there in Lee Clark and Steve Watson who I know really well.

It's important at this stage of his career that he plays a lot of competitive games. We brought him back so we can have a look at him.

We want to keep him here for the next cup game, then after that we'll most likely loan him back to Birmingham."
