'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Morrison Highly Praised By Clark After QPR Defeat.

Birmingham manager Lee Clark was full of praise for Ravel Morrison, the player that scored both goals against his side on Saturday.

His brace put Queens Park Rangers back on track after a run of five games without a win and Clark has no doubt that the result came about because Morrison was playing.

Clark knows Morrison well, he had the player at St Andrews on loan last season and now goes so far as to compare the 21 year old with the great Paul Gascoigne.

And it was Clark that recommended Morrison to Harry Redknapp when he needed some advice about the player.

Clark said to Sky Sports: 'He is the best footballer since Paul Gascoigne. If Paul Gascoigne had not done his knee, he would have become the best player in the world.

'I played with Paul. I grew up with Paul. The only thing is that Ravel doesn't know who Paul Gascoigne is!

'He has the pace of a wide-man. He has the balance but plays in the middle of the pitch because he can manoeuvre the ball.

'Ravel can score goals as we have seen. It is what is between the ears with him and he knows about this problem."

Saturday's game was Morrison's third for QPR and his brace against Birmingham was the first he had chalked up for the Shepherds Bush outfit. Although he previously scored five for West Ham earlier in the season.

He wasn't the only reason we lost, it was down to being pretty bloody hopeless as well. But he is right he is a good player, maybe Redknapp can get the best out of him.
