Holloway Left Devastated After Blues Beat Millwall

Millwall boss Ian Holloway is normally known for talking out of his backside but he was left being honest after defeat to Birmingham left his side at the bottom of the Championship.

Holloway`s side are four points from safety and they don`t have a great goal difference column to help them very much, not helped by Jordon Ibe, Andrew Shinnie and Nikola Zigic who were all on the mark for Blues at the Den last night.

Steve Morison had put Millwall level after Ibe`s opener and Simeon Jackson pulled the score back to 3-2 with a penalty right at the death, but it was not enough to stop the Lion`s slipping to their sixth home game without a win.

Holloway`s description of the game before kick-off was "the biggest match of his life", and after the game he said he was now looking for five wins from eight.

An honest Holloway said after the game: 'We've got eight games left and we've probably got to win five of them, then we might stay up.

'I'm devastated, I have to say that. It was a must not lose game and we've lost it. We've got to keep fighting.

'There has been some frank and honest words said in the dressing room. The players are hurting, believe me.

'I'm sick and fed up of talking, it's about action now. I believe we can still do it after everything I saw."

Millwall have four difficult games coming up, they face Blackburn on Saturday at home before two away trips to Nottingham Forest and Wigan and then have a home game against Watford.
