Donaldson Set To Join Blues Next Week.

Seems that Birmingham City have agreed to sign Clayton Donaldson from Brentford on a free transfer, the deal will go ahead next week.

Reports say there is a pre-contract agreement made and the signing will take place next week when the player returns from his honeymoon.

The 30-year old was wanted by the Bees and they offered him a new contract to try and keep the player, but in the end he wanted a move away from the club and join up with Lee Clark at St Andrews.

Donaldson scored 18 goals in 46 league appearances and Blues will be hoping that he can repeat something like that form and give the club a massive boost.

Assistant manager Steve Watson told reporters, "I don`t want to talk too much about Clayton Donaldson until he is done. But with him coming in, there would be a great mix for us.'
