Tamworth Defender Within the Blues Ranks

Birmingham City have been told by Tamworth that their young defender Ben Richards-Everton cannot leave unless they are compensated.

The young defender is training with the Birmingham development side and took part in a friendly for the team.

It is understood the 18 year old is supposed to remain at Tamworth as they have re-engaged the terms of his contract. Until the player is above 24 Tamworth will be entitled to compensation should the player leave for another club.

Tamworth boss confirmed he found out where the player was through a third party and he said the fee they have set for the player is 'minuscule`. It remains to be seen if Blues will sign the young defender.

Birmingham have strengthened significantly at the back this season and this dealing could be one for the future.
